Marcus grew up hunting and fishing with his parents and siblings, and he learned to shoot from his father. He attended a local club where he had success in shooting air pistol, air rifle, and smallbore .22 earning many awards.
Marcus continued to gain interest in air pistol, where he excelled rapidly. Within his first year of training he won the Montana State Junior Olympics. Shortly after, he continued competing nationally, gaining momentum. He made his international debut at the 2023 Junior World Championships in Changwon, South Korea.
Marcus is currently attending The Ohio State University pursuing a degree in Architecture while competing on The Ohio State Pistol Team. He is now looking to make his first Olympic Team.
